A person who works with their hands is a laborer; a person who works with their hands and their brain is a craftsman; but a person who works with their hands and their brain and their heart is an artist.”

Janet SouzaJanet was born and raised in Massachusetts where she availed herself of art classes wherever and whenever they were offered. During her early years she enrolled in the Famous Artists School , followed by three years of Bob Ross Classes, The Art Instruction School , and later apprenticed under locally famed artist Robert Farris, of Lynn, MA. Along the way she absorbed all she could about the techniques of oil painting, watercolor, pen & ink, pastels, acrylic, graphite pencil, charcoal, and colored pencil. Life eventually brought her to DeLand, Florida and into Studio 308, where she hones her colored pencil skills, and teaches beginner’s watercolor, oil and acrylic classes evenings at the studio. |
